Nace el 28 de agosto de 1980 en Longview, Texas, Estados Unidos.
Esta hermosa competidora graduada en ingeniería química no practicó ningún deporte antes de comenzar a hacer pesas, más bien se la pasaba jugando en el gimnasio mientras su madre practicaba aerobic hasta que al cumplir los 16 años se empezó a dedicar a este deporte, algo que siempre quiso hacer.
Su primer competencia fue cuando tenía 17 años.
