Es propietaria de un gimnasio llamado Kate’s House of Fitness. Tiene una licenciatura en ciencias del ejercicio.

No fue una atleta en la escuela secundaria debido a un problema de asma. Por alguna razón desconocida había querido ser y se imaginaba como una mujer musculosa. Descubrió el entrenamiento con peso a finales de la escuela secundaria. Era algo en donde podría sobresalir y le gustó desde el principio.
