Michelle Ivers Brent

Nació y creció en la Península de Monterrey, California, Estados Unidos pero ahora recide en Filadelfia, Pensilvania.

Siempre ha hecho ejercicios porque durante su adolescencia tenía problemas de peso. Fue a la escuela primaria católica y en las únicas actividades deportivas que estaba involucrada no eran más que juegos. Comenzó sus esfuerzos atléticos en la escuela secundaria de Monterrey donde jugó tenis, voley, hockey sobre césped y softball.

Su relación con las pesas comenzó durante sus estudios universitarios con el fin de ser profesora de educación física, en su etapa universitaria hizo una demostración de levantamiento de pesas. Continuó su estudios en la universidad de Sacramento.

En aquellos años trabajaba como gerente de una cadena de panaderías.

Comenzó a entrenar baja la dirección de una pareja que competía la cual le instó para que diera su primera exposición que fue en 1985.

Desde 1996 hasta el 2000 tuvo su propio gimnasio llamado Bayside Fitness donde concurrían chicos a los cuales les daba clase de educación física en el colegio.

En 1999 estuvo cerca de obtener el carnet profesional pero no lo logró debido a que quedo segunda en los nacionales.

Está casada con su marido Bill.
