Marisa Inda

Madre, entrenadora y levantadora de pesas, pero Changa, así me llamaban cuando era una niña. Changa es la jerga española para mona. Creció en una granja y recuerda saltar dentro y fuera del camión de su padre mientras descargaban heno, trepar por los gallineros y jugar en las barras y una viga que su abuelo le construyó. Naturalmente, esto la llevó a la gimnasia, donde competió intermitentemente hasta que la dejó a los 15 años. Era una atleta de pista mediocre que corría carreras de velocidad y relevos en su penúltimo y último año de secundaria, y luego encontró su gran amor cuando me aventuró en el gimnasio por primera vez a los 17 años.
Antes del levantamiento de pesas, competió en culturismo, aprendiendo de su entorno, a base de prueba y error y leyendo todas las revistas Flex que caían en sus manos. Durante todos esos años de culturismo, construyó sus cimientos y aprendió sobre la constancia y la paciencia en el gimnasio.
Después de graduarme con una licenciatura en biología y trabajar durante años en el sector inmobiliario y bancario, me preguntaba constantemente: "¿Qué estoy haciendo con mi vida?". "¿Trabajar en una oficina es lo que realmente me apasiona?". La respuesta fue un rotundo NO.
Su misión es ayudar a las personas a enamorarse del fitness, aprender a disfrutar del proceso y recuperar un poco de su juventud.
Marisa Inda es una de las atletas de fuerza femeninas más célebres del mundo actual. Con una larga trayectoria como gimnasta y culturista, India ha alcanzado los puestos más altos en el levantamiento de potencia.
Varias veces campeona nacional de la USAPL, los logros más importantes de Inda llegaron en el Arnold 2017, donde rompió el récord mundial total de todos los tiempos en la categoría de 52 kg en su camino a ganar el IPF Grand Prix y luego, más tarde en 2017, para ganar el PF World Championship.
Inda le ha valido el reconocimiento mundial, incluida una aparición en The Ellen Show. Inda es la actual poseedora del récord estadounidense en press de banca y peso muerto, así como la poseedora del récord mundial en total. Con más de 25 años de experiencia en levantamiento de pesas y compitiendo tanto en culturismo como en levantamiento de potencia, Marisa se enorgullece de su constancia y de enseñar a los clientes a disfrutar del proceso. Autora de un libro titulado Fuerza: A female’s guide to strength en donde comparte sus décadas de experiencia y su trayectoria, entrenamiento físico, nutrición, cardio, calistenia y entrenamiento de fuerza. Cada tema se explica a fondo e incluye ejemplos de programación. También incluye cinco programas de 12 semanas que abarcan Powerlifting para principiantes, Physique, Powerlifting intermedio, MomStrong (combinando physique, powerlifting, calistenia y cardio) y el mismo programa que Marisa usó para batir el récord mundial.
